Our Mango Powder is from unripe mangoes that have been peeled and thinly sliced, dried slowly in the sun until lightly browned, and then ground into a chalky powder. We finally sift the powder by hand to remove any fibrous bits to ensure you receive the highest quality mango powder on the market. A powder that will tingle the taste buds with its pleasantly tart flavor.
Mango Powder – otherwise known as amchur or amchoor – is most commonly used in Indian dishes from curries to chutneys, but it’s wonderful to experiment with in a variety of recipes as a dry substitute for lime or lemon juice. Try the mango powder on baked salmon or chicken, pork chops, soups, sauces, and in smoothies and yogurts.
